Leah Singleton is of Cree, Sioux and Saulteaux heritage. She was raised in rural Manitoba and today calls Winnipeg her home. Leah brings 24 years of work experience to APTN, having begun her career at the Manitoba Television Network, and later moved over to the network’s radio station cluster as traffic manager.

Leah joined the APTN team in 2018 as traffic coordinator. Stepping into an inventory management position to assist the sales team in 2019, she successfully helped implement a new digital system and was appointed manager of traffic in 2021. In 2023, Leah was promoted to the role of director of scheduling and traffic.

Working at APTN has inspired Leah to explore and reclaim her Indigeneity through daily reflections and conversations. Since joining the network, she has been an integral member of the scheduling department and the workplace culture by regularly volunteering for APTN’s social and health & safety committees.
