Alan Bouchard
Director of People and Culture / Senior Management
Originally from rural Manitoba, Alan Bouchard is pleased to call Treaty 1 home. A proud member of the Red River Métis Nation, Alan brings to APTN a wealth of leadership experience and a passion for amplifying Indigenous voices.
Alan holds a bachelor of commerce degree and a certificate in human resource management from the University of Manitoba. He has over 20 years of experience in Manitoba’s tourism industry. In the past, Alan has operated visitor activities at numerous historic sites, parks and museums, including Lower Fort Garry National Historic Site. One of his proudest career achievements includes participating in Parks Canada’s four-year Aboriginal Leadership Development Program, where he engaged in communications training, project management and conflict resolution skills all from an Indigenous perspective.
Alan’s journey with APTN began in 2020 as a labour relations and human resource project specialist. In 2022, he was appointed to the position of director of people and culture. In this role, Alan focuses on creating a positive workplace culture and providing vision, leadership and support to his fellow colleagues.
On the weekends, Alan enjoys camping and making memories with his wife and two children.
