Don’t Even is a heartfelt dramedy set in late ’90s Winnipeg, following Indigenous best friends Violet and Harley during the summer after high school. Violet, the ambitious overachiever, and Harley, who’s grappling with a hidden secret, find their friendship tested as they navigate the complexities of urban Indigenous life and face uncertain futures. With a blend of humour and heart reminiscent of Booksmart, Gilmore Girls and Dazed and Confused, this uniquely Manitoba story offers a fresh and compelling look at the challenges of growing up through an urban Indigenous lens.
