Born and raised in Winnipeg, Man., Owen Pantos is a member of the Red River Métis community. Owen graduated from Red River College’s Business Administration program in 2019 with a diploma in marketing. He is currently taking courses in the college’s Project Management program and will receive his certification in 2023.

After completing an internship with APTN’s People & Culture department in 2018, Owen knew he wanted to come back to the network full time. A TV-lover his whole life, he jumped at the chance to join APTN permanently in 2019 as part of the marketing department, where he worked as a marketing coordinator for nearly three years. In this role, he focused on campaign coordination and workflow optimization. In 2022, Owen was promoted to manager of deliverables. He lovingly refers to APTN as “an inspiring organization that gave me a greater purpose of wanting to amplify Indigenous voices and stories.”
