Canada’s Aboriginal Affairs minister is threatening to cut off cash from First Nations who refuse to comply with the rules of a proposed law.
The First Nations Financial Accountability Act will force leaders to disclose all financial statements from the band and make their salaries public.
The consequences set out in that bill were recently brought into light.
