Human rights tribunal not proper forum for FN child welfare funding issues: Ottawa’s lawyer

Lawyers were in Federal Court again today arguing about whether a ruling from the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal should be overturned.

At issue is a discrimination case against the federal government for underfunding First Nation child welfare agencies compared to off-reserve agencies.
