Hey there, friends!
I’m always pretty excited for our movies on APTN’s Friday Night Flick but I’m super-pumped to be watching Insomnia with you this week!
Insomnia stars Al Pacino, Robin Williams and Hilary Swank. It’s about two Los Angeles homicide detectives who are dispatched to Alaska to investigate the murder of a teen girl. The really tough part about the whole deal is that it’s around the same time of year that the sun doesn’t set! I’ve always been curious as to what that’s like, myself. But, after watching this movie I’m not so sure anymore.
The thriller is directed by one of my all-time favourite directors Christopher Nolan. If that name sounds familiar to you then you must have heard about a couple of movies that have done quite well in the past couple of years. I’m talking the newest series of Batman movies – Batman Begins (2005) and The Dark Knight (2008). He also had a hand in Inception (2010) which did quite well earlier this year and he is known for his unique style, especially for Memento (2000). And now he’s going to be involved in the newest installations of the Batman AND Superman movies.
I’ve been having a pretty tough time sleeping lately. Kernel likes to stay up late and the noises I hear coming from the living room are just a tad disconcerting. “Hey Chantelle, what does this do?”, “Hey Chantelle, why is there smoke coming out of this?”, “Hey Chantelle… Oops! ”
It just doesn’t end. Just thinking about it is making me tired. Does anyone have any tips on getting to sleep?
I look forward to hearing from you. Thanks for watching!
Chantelle
