About Ray G. Thunderchild
Ray Thunderchild started his acting career in Vancouver, BC in 1992 and was then discovered and signed by an acting agent. Ray’s first TV show appearance was on Northern Exposure where he was cast twice. His acting experience excelled in 1993 when he studied for 10 months under the direction of Peter Breck (Death Valley Day’s).
Some of his credits for TV and Movie’s include: Echo Lake (Chief of Police), Harmony Cats (Bouncer), I Shouldn’t Be Alive (Coast Guard Captian), and two episodes of Alice I Think (Gus the Ice Cream Man). Ray was also a TV show host for Cree Eye for the White Guy, Creative Native Productions. Along with his acting credits he also translated both Elijah and Luna the Killer Whale into Plains Cree language.
Other productions he appeared in as principal roles were Pathfinder, Stan Helsing (Husband), Tales of an Urban Indian (Hank), and most recently the Gemini award winning series Blackstone (Tom Fraser). Ray was also one of the 12 composers for the 2010 opening ceremonies for the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics.
