McGill university pushed to acknowledge Iroquois history

McGill University in Montreal is being pushed to do a better job of acknowledging Indigenous history.

The McGill campus was built on an Iroquois village.

And while the university has a reputation for producing Nobel prize winners, prime ministers and astronauts.

Some say it doesn’t do a good enough job of knowing its own history.

    There should also be acknowledgement that McGill was established with Six Nations funds from illegal sales of our lands. Without that acknowledgement, what’s the point?
